WooCommerce is required
This integration uses the WooCommerce REST API. Your WordPress site must have WooCommerce installed and active. It does not work with WordPress sites that use a different ecommerce plugin or no ecommerce plugin at all.

How the WooCommerce sync works
WebpinnPOS connects directly to your WooCommerce store using its REST API. No plugin installation needed on WordPress. Just an API key.
WooCommerce order → POS stock & Online Orders
- A customer places an order on your WooCommerce store.
- WooCommerce sends a signed webhook to WebpinnPOS (HMAC-SHA256 verified).
- Stock deducts from WebpinnPOS inventory automatically, and the order appears on your Online Orders page with customer and line-item detail.
- Mark it fulfilled from WebpinnPOS. The status pushes back to WooCommerce automatically.
Product import
- Click "Sync Products" from Integrations in your WebpinnPOS dashboard.
- All products, variations, categories, prices, SKUs and barcodes are imported. Including GTIN and custom barcode meta fields.
- A background sync refreshes all products every 30 minutes automatically.
Automatic webhook registration
- When you connect your store, WebpinnPOS registers webhooks for order.created, order.updated, product.created, and product.updated.
- All webhooks are HMAC-SHA256 verified. No configuration required after initial connection.

Generate a WooCommerce API key
In WordPress go to WooCommerce → Settings → Advanced → REST API. Add a key with Read/Write permissions.

Open Integrations in WebpinnPOS
Go to Settings → Integrations and click "Connect WooCommerce".

Enter your store details
Enter your WordPress site URL, consumer key, and consumer secret. Click Connect.

Import your products
Click "Sync Products" to import your catalogue. The 30-minute background sync starts automatically.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need WooCommerce installed on my WordPress site?
Yes. WebpinnPOS connects using the WooCommerce REST API, which requires WooCommerce to be installed and active. It does not work with WordPress sites that do not have WooCommerce.
Where do I find the consumer key and secret?
In your WordPress dashboard, go to WooCommerce → Settings → Advanced → REST API. Click 'Add key', set permissions to Read/Write, and generate. Copy the consumer key and consumer secret. You will only see the secret once.
Does it sync product variations?
Yes. Variable products and all their variations are imported, including variation-level stock quantities, prices, SKUs, and barcodes (including GTIN and custom barcode meta fields).
How quickly does stock update on WooCommerce after an in-store sale?
Stock levels push to WooCommerce in real time. Immediately after each sale is completed in WebpinnPOS.
Are WooCommerce orders visible inside WebpinnPOS?
Yes. Every WooCommerce order, customer details, line items, and payment status, appears on the Online Orders page inside WebpinnPOS, alongside stock deducting automatically. You can mark an order fulfilled from WebpinnPOS and that status pushes back to WooCommerce, export orders to CSV, and see everything without switching tabs. Online orders are tracked separately from your in-store Sales history, since they're a different transaction type.
Can I create products in WebpinnPOS and have them appear in WooCommerce?
No. Products only sync from WooCommerce into WebpinnPOS. New products should be created in WooCommerce first, then imported to your POS via the sync.
Which WooCommerce version is required?
WebpinnPOS uses the WooCommerce REST API v3, which has been available since WooCommerce 3.5. Any modern WooCommerce installation will be compatible.
